MSP Practitioner Training and Certification

The MSP® Practitioner course is aimed at project, programme and business change managers that want to build on their knowledge of MSP, in order to practically apply the MSP framework to real life scenarios. The course provides the skills to lead and manage a programme.

The purpose of the MSP Practitioner certification is to confirm whether a candidate can demonstrate sufficient ability to apply and tailor the MSP programme management framework to a real programme.

Objectives

Following the completion of the course participants should be able to:

Understand how to apply the MSP principles in context
Understand how to apply and tailor relevant aspects of the MSP themes in context
Understand how to apply and tailor relevant aspects of the MSP processes in context
Pass the exam to get the MSP Practitioner certification

Target

Programme managers and aspiring programme managers
Project managers/senior project managers
Business change managers
Operational line managers/staff (e.g. process owners) operating within a programme environment
Other key staff involved in the design, development and delivery of programmes, including: Programme Board members (e.g. senior responsible owner), programme assurance, programme management office personnel
Portfolio management staff
Specialist programme staff

MSP Practitioner Exam

2,5 hours (188 minutes for non-native speakers)

Objective Test Questions
60% pass mark
Open book (MSP manual only)

Upon successful completion of the exam and following confirmation of the results, the participants will receive a unique, secure and auditable electronic certificate from PeopleCert.

Prerequisites

Some pre-read material is provided prior to the training and is expected to be fully read and studied before attending the course. To take the MSP Practitioner exam you must provide proof of having passed the MSP Foundation exam.
