Agile Change Agent Course

The Agile Change Agent course aims to build practical ability in agile and change to support effective transformation and change initiatives.

The Agile Change Agent course is a very hands-on course full of opportunities to “see, do, learn”, packed with exercises and practical tools, tips and advice. The course is less focused on the theories of change.

Those who obtain the certification are equipped with pioneering tools to ensure change initiatives are embedded and adopted, delivering benefits throughout their organisations.

As part of the course, participants will take part in activities, applying simple, impactful techniques that will help them plan change. Participants are provided with a toolkit of techniques and pre-prepared checklists, questionnaires and models that they can tailor to any of the changes they are involved in.

Objectives

Following the completion of the course participants should be able to:

Understand how agile approaches impact the way change is managed and delivered, and the impact on those involved in and affected by change
Create a roadmap consisting of all processes, activities and information needed to manage a change initiative in an agile way
Apply techniques to identify and prioritise activities according to business value
Create and support the right environment for change
Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders and team members, understanding how to best engage with them through empathy and trust
Utilize pre-prepared checklists, questionnaires and models that can be tailored to specific change initiatives
Develop strategies for building resilience and motivation, whilst managing and mitigating resistance
Manage change for both large-scale transformations and micro-level business change projects
Create a change that is lean and flexible, realizing benefits earlier on in the process
Pass the Agile Change Agent exam.

Target

The course will benefit anyone who has to plan, manage and participate in creating change at work.
Training and certification will be particularly beneficial to those participating in Agile or transformational change, but are not necessarily responsible for leading it.

The course and certification are relevant if:

You are responsible for the creation of new ways of working as a result of a project investment
You are in a change management role, where you are identifying what needs to be done by those who are going to have to work differently
You have been selected as a “change agent” or “change champion” to create new ways of working in departments such as sales, marketing, HR, finance.

Upon successful completion of the exam and following confirmation of the results, the participants will receive a unique, secure and auditable electronic certificate from APMG International.

Prerequisites

The course does not assume any prior knowledge of change management or agile approaches so is suitable for all.
Some pre-read material is provided prior to the training and is expected to be fully read before attending the course.
