ABC Scrum Product Owner Training and Certification

The ABC Scrum Product Owner (ABC SPO) is intended to address the knowledge and skills that demonstrate proficiency in knowledge of the Product Owners role within the Scrum Framework.

The ABC SPO course is aimed at anyone who wishes to get sufficient knowledge and understanding of Agile Principles and the Scrum Guide, and a grasp of some fundamental techniques required to meet his/her accountabilities as Product Owner.

Following the completion of the course participants should be able to:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the Scrum Framework – the theory, practices, roles, rules and values – as defined in The Scrum Guide.
  • Understand – in detail – the role of Scrum Product Owner and how the role interacts with different members of the Scrum Team and other stakeholders.
  • Master the Scrum principles to better understand their application when returning to the workplace.
  • How to build and prioritize a value-driven product backlog.
  • Breakdown epics and themes into actionable user stories.
  • Drive adoption of the Scrum framework for more effective product and solution development, working with stakeholders and other Scrum professionals and team members to improve its effectiveness.
  • Pass the exam to get the Scrum Product Owner Certification

  • Anyone involved in product & solution development using the Scrum framework
  • Individuals appointed as Product Owner of a Scrum Team
  • Newly appointed and Potential Scrum Masters who have accountabilities associated with assisting the
  • Product Owner in meeting their accountabilities
  • Product Managers
  • Those responsible for products from business and product management perspectives.

Upon successful completion of the exam and following confirmation of the results, the participants will receive a unique, secure and auditable electronic certificate from APMG International.

It is desirable but not essential that participants have some experience of working in a product or project team. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the training and is expected to be fully read before attending the course.
